Eleven spectrometers are located in the basement of the Chemistry Building, one in the Teaching Laboratory, one in the Centre for Radiochemical Research, and one in the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.catenane.net\/\">Sir Robert Robinson Laboratory<\/a>. The majority of instruments can be used in either walk-up or manual mode and the availability of instruments can be checked via the\u00a0<a href=\"..\/status\/map.php\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"..\/status\/map.php\">status website<\/a>; more detailed bookings can be made and viewed on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nmrbooking.ch.man.ac.uk\/phpScheduleIt\/Web\/view-schedule.php\">booking<\/a>\u00a0website. We also have a sister facility in\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mib.ac.uk\/research\/facilities\/nmr\/\">Manchester Institute of Biotechnology<\/a>\u00a0which houses\u00a0<sup>1<\/sup>H optimised cryoprobe instruments at 800 and 500 MHz for high sensitivity studies of biological and chemical systems, a 400 MHz instrument to support routine chemistry, and a 400 MHz instrument with gyrotron for DNP-enhanced solid state NMR studies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Chemistry NMR Facility comprises fourteen NMR spectrometers ranging from 300 to 700 MHz.
