General enquiries should be emailed to ch-nmr-service@listserv.manchester.ac.uk, University of Manchester users should log requests and enquiries in the online portal.

Carlo Bawn (carlo.bawn@manchester.ac.uk) is an Experimental Officer in NMR and runs the NMR service. He should be contacted in the first instance for general NMR queries, staff-run service matters, and advice on spectrum interpretation. Carlo will triage any requests and is able to advise users on the majority of NMR research matters.

Daryl Bamber (daryl.bamber@manchester.ac.uk) is an NMR Technician and responsible for cryogen fills and other day-to-day maintenance of the NMR equipment and NMR laboratories in the department. He should be contacted for any issues relating to the walk-up instruments and user logins, and is the first contact for any instrument-related issues.

Both Carlo and Daryl work out of B.23A and can generally be found somewhere in the basement NMR facility between 9:30 am and 17:00.

Dr. Ralph Adams (ralph.adams@manchester.ac.uk) is Head of NMR in the Department of Chemistry and should be contacted for advice on more complex and extended projects, and more general NMR facility queries. Office: B.23C, Phone: 0161 30 60389.
